Research Category:

Project Description:
|
Using technology to address socio-emotional skills among children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) is increasing. Technology can be used as a complementary, low-cost intervention among populations with ASD. However, adoption of technology in clinical settings and during rehabilitation services is low. This study will uncover barriers and identify strategies for knowledge translation of socio-emotional technology among populations with ASD. We will conduct interviews/focus groups with stakeholders, including policy and decision makers in the field of pediatrics, along with clinicians and parents of children with ASD. This will help us understand many perspectives on effective knowledge mobilization and technology dissemination.
