Marty is a skilled teacher and loves to discuss children, families and the issues which arise for them in our field of Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics. Dr Marty Stein, author of the book Encounters with Children and the regular section of Challenging Cases for the Journal Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics, will be in Vancouver in September, 2013. This forum will be to discuss case based learning.
Learning Objectives
- Examine the practice of case based teaching and how it can be incorporated to teach about developmental and behavioral concerns in children.
- Reflect on the options to use cases in bedside, clinic and didactic sessions.
- Discuss the diversity of perspectives that can occur when reviewing a case with a group of learners or colleagues.
